[news] Syria slaughter: pound rebel city Tanks

Thousands of anti-government protesters flooded the streets of Hama to demand the fall of the regime of President Bashar al-Assad, in what was described as "the biggest demonstration since the revolution broke out in Syria." 
Up to 100 people have died after the Syrian army tanks stormed the city of Hama in an attempt to crush the demonstrations against the government of President Bashar al-Assad.

Residents said gunfire and explosions woke shell as the army fired at random.

President Bashar al-Assad sent tanks to crush crush protests by Hama barricades around just after sunrise.

The activists said that was one of the deadliest days in Syria since protesters first took to the streets on March 15 demanding democratic reforms before turning their anger on the regime and calling for his removal.
