[news] Bob Burnquist knows how to win gold at the X Games

After 17 X Games 21 and medals, it makes sense that Bob Burnquist know what it takes to win the gold.

Burnquist showed that again Friday night in the Skateboard Big Air competition, two landing 540 degrees becomes his fourth race to get a score of 92.66 points.

"It feels really good," Burnquist said. "It's a dream. I never thought I would hold it for so long."

Burnquist sent two of only six races to include two tricks of success. Defending gold medal Jake Brown did not land a single race while trying to jump back into the gap of 70 feet and 14-year-old Mitchie Brusco feeling did not even try their famous 900. Brusco In the final four races, could not land his jump over the gap preceding the quarterpipe.

Mitchie Brusco, the miracle of 14 years, skateboarding, made his first X Games Friday.

However, Bob Burnquist, who is 20 years his senior and has competed in every X Games since 1995, showed the teenager how.

"It feels really good," Burnquist said after winning gold in the Skateboard Big Air final. "It's a dream. I never thought I would be holding this time."

While the rest of the field combined to complete only four runs, Burnquist landed two on your own, get higher scores during the day.
